I'm passionate about real estate! I think because it feels like a combination of being a detective and travel agent! I love digging up information, and going places! Putting people and places together is so satisfying. I've been a Realtor since 2004, specializing in Guemes Island, where I live with my husband. Our teenage son is the 4th generation of Everetts to live on Guemes -- there is a real connection there. But I also work with buyers who want to expand their horizons... all over Western Washington. I had a buyer who I helped to find that perfect horse property in Custer. Washington, which is practically on the Canadian border! It just goes to show I go the extra mile for people. Or hundred miles as it were.

Formerly a writer / producer for KIRO-TV in Seattle and The Boeing Company, Karen has a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Washington. Another of her passions is cooking - she had a catering business on Guemes before becoming a Realtor. She applies that same passion to real estate, where she has successfully negotiated dozens upon dozens of deals -- and Realtor awards, including the 2008 Community Service Award. That award was given to recognize her efforts to spearhead the campaign to "Save The Mountain" on Guemes Island. an 80 acre view tract on the top of the island. She also volunteers for the Friends of the Forest in Anacortes.
